The Basenji dog breed is one of the few developed in Africa. There are records of dogs similar to this race that date back over 4000 years, found in Egyptian drawings. Among its main features are the physical traits of an animal developed in warm, short hair, especiallyon the ears ,with white light . It has long legs compared to its size and smooth. Their temperament is difficult to obey orders even if it is recognized as a docile breed.
